support the Garcia family

Our friendship with Isaac and Sarah Garcia started when our church did the I Promise Campaign, during which, they held an auction to raise funds for future buildings, missions, and other things. Church members donated items to be sold at the auction, proceeds to benefit the campaign.

The Garcias bid on, and won, a full family photo session with me! I was so excited when Sarah called to schedule her photo session. Sweet Rebecca had just been born, and she wanted family photos during that fleeting infant stage.

Upon meeting the family, Jason and I learned that Isaac plays the drums in the worship band for Sagebrush at our home campus, High Resort. Their boys, Gabriel and Daniel, were total charmers and loved doting on their new little sister.

Even though I prefer to use natural light for family photos, we went ahead and did the photo session at their home because of the cold December temperatures.

We got some cute pictures of little Rebecca, and some family pictures, but I just didn’t feel that I could do my best work inside their home. Even though Sarah and Isaac insisted that they loved their pictures, I offered to repeat the photo session, free of charge, when the weather warmed up, showcasing their love of the outdoors. In June we completed the retake of their photo session. The kids had gotten so big, especially Rebecca!

During the time between our two photo sessions, Isaac had received some news from his doctors: he had a bone tumor in his hip. He would need a total hip replacement at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona.

Isaac’s surgery is scheduled for mid July. He will be out of work for an extensive period of time. He will have a lengthy stay at the hospital in Phoenix, during which Sarah won’t be able to work. She will be juggling Isaac’s care and parenting responsibilities. There will be extensive hospital bills, rehabilitation, and other concerns for this young family.

I try to use the gifts and talents God has given me, in ways that will honor Him. I definitely felt the Lord leading me to bless this family with my photography. I am offering mini photo sessions to contribute to the Garcia family financially. They currently have a Go Fund Me page, to which I encourage you to prayerfully consider donating. If you need family photos, back to school pictures of the kids, head shots for work or social media, birthday pictures, or just about anything else (sorry, no weddings or newborn sessions), get beautiful pictures while taking a little stress off this sweet family! It’s a win-win!

Each session will be short and sweet (great for little ones with shorter attention spans!) and full of fun. We’ll capture some lovely photos, which you will receive via a download link, along with a print release, within 48 hours of your session. Photo sessions will be held at sunset at a beautiful park in Rio Rancho. You will pay me, but 100% of the proceeds will be turned directly over to the Garcia family.

These limited sessions will take place July 18-22nd during sunset. Please call or text me at (505) 306-8938, email me at, or message me here on the website to schedule your session or with any questions! Please share with your friends! The more, the better for the Garcia family! Thank you for partnering with me to bless the Garcia family!

One more thing: please pray for Isaac and Sarah as they walk through this trial. I am praying for complete healing for Isaac, and peace and comfort for both of them. God is good!

Last weekend, Jason and I set up a fun photo booth for the students at a local middle school. They were having a masquerade ball, and they had a blast visiting us at the photo booth to capture photos with their friends. We had masks for them to wear, though many students came with their own. We printed their photos on site for them to take home. What a neat way to make a memorable night last a little longer, with souvenir photos to take home! Kudos to the PTA for organizing the event and working SO hard to set it up. The cafeteria looked fabulous, and the kids clearly had a blast!2015 Oct ERMS blog post

We had another beautiful afternoon for senior pictures. This stunning girl brought along her mom and 3 sisters. It was so much fun!

This young lady and her friend were headed out to dinner before attending the homecoming dance for Hope Christian School. I like to keep these sessions quick and fun- there is much to do on these special evenings! We snuck in a shot with mom and dad too, before sending the teenagers off.

This sweet girl, class of 2015 from a small private school in Rio Rancho, spent the afternoon with me this past Spring for her senior photo session. She brought along her parents, so we were able to sneak in some beautiful family portraits as well.
